Our Wedding

Our story began more than 24 years ago at a gym in Durham, North Carolina. At the time, Erica had recently left the military, and Tracy was just beginning his career in probation and parole. We dated for about six months before life led us in different directions. Along the way, we each married, built families, and eventually experienced divorce. Although our lives took separate paths, fate seemed determined to keep us connected. Over the years, we would occasionally run into one another and spend a few moments catching up on life.Then, on June 24, 2020, everything changed.By coincidence, we both found ourselves in Nashville, Tennessee. Tracy was there celebrating his daughter’s 16th birthday, while Erica was in town awaiting the birth of her first granddaughter. After seeing Tracy’s Facebook post, Erica reached out and asked if he would like to meet for lunch. What began as a simple lunch between old friends quickly reminded us of the connection we had shared years before.Before parting ways, we promised each other that we would have a “real date” once we returned home to North Carolina. Three months later, we met for dinner in Durham, and from that evening forward, we have been nearly inseparable.Looking back, we can see how every chapter of our lives prepared us for this moment. What once seemed like a brief relationship from years ago became a beautiful second chance at love. Through seasons of growth, life lessons, and unexpected reunions, God continued to write our story in ways we never could have imagined.After six years together and a seven-year journey that brought us back to one another, we are thrilled to begin this next chapter as husband and wife. We pray for a lifetime of marital bliss, endless laughter, unwavering faith, and countless travel adventures together.Most of all, we are grateful to celebrate this special day surrounded by our closest family and friends.
